BMW teases the new all-wheel drive M5

May 19, 2017 – The new F90 generation BMW M5 is moving on from the traditional rear-wheel drive layout to all-wheel drive, the German premium automaker has confirmed.

BMW says the new car will produce approximately 600 horsepower from a twin-turbo V8 that will be mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox, and if you’re panicking over the AWD layout, you should know that the advanced xDrive system will allow drivers to send 100 percent of the power to the rear wheels via a 2WD mode.

The new car will be launched later this year. Enjoy the teaser below in the meantime.
