December 1, 2015 – Bugatti confirmed yesterday that its new Veyron successor will be officially called Chiron, and today, a new spy photo revealing the car’s front fascia has been published.
As mentioned previously and judging by the new spy photo, the new Chiron is heavily inspired by the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo, which first appeared at the Frankfurt Motor Show a couple of month ago.
In case you didn’t know, the new Bugatti was named after Louis Chiron, a racing driver who won almost all the major races for the brand during the 1920s and 1930s.
Rumored to be powering the Chiron is an updated version of the quad-turbo 8.0-liter W16 engine, reportedly capable of producing 1,500 hp, which should help it sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just over 2 seconds before reaching a top speed of around 435-450km/h.
