November 5, 2015 – Bugatti stopped production of the Veyron earlier this year, but it’s currently busy working on its successor, the Chiron, which has been recently spotted undergoing tests.
Judging by the spy shots, the Chiron’s exterior is clearly inspired by the Vision Gran Turismo concept that was revealed last month in Frankfurt. The spy shots show two prototypes featuring different taillights.
The Chiron will benefit from a hybrid powertrain – an 8.0-liter W16 engine with e-turbo technology – that will produce almost 1500 horsepower, which should propel the car from 0 to 100 km/h in a little over 2 seconds before reaching a 450km/h top speed.
