Cadillac Lyriq-V: 606 HP Electric SUV Breaks Speed Records
Cadillac is unveiling its most powerful electric model yet, the Lyriq-V, a performance-driven version of the Lyriq SUV that redefines speed in the electric vehicle market. With a 0-60 mph time of just 3.3 seconds, this all-electric SUV is now Cadillac’s fastest model ever.
The Lyriq-V features dual electric motors—one on each axle—producing a combined 606 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque, putting it in the same performance category as rivals like the BMW iX M60. Powered by a 102kWh battery, the Lyriq-V offers a claimed range of 285 miles, though this figure has yet to be fully verified.
Cadillac has fine-tuned the vehicle’s performance by adjusting the suspension, steering ratio, and damping control, resulting in a more dynamic and comfortable driving experience. Enhancements also include a lowered center of gravity, Brembo performance brakes, and 22-inch tires, all designed to improve handling and stability at high speeds.
Visually, the Lyriq-V stands out with V-Series badges on various parts of the exterior and interior, signaling its performance prowess. The SUV also features new wheels and a black-painted roof as standard, with an optional Magnus Metal Frost color for a unique appearance.
Inside, the Lyriq-V offers the same luxurious features as the standard model, including a panoramic sunroof, 23-speaker AKG audio system, 33-inch touchscreen, and Super Cruise autonomous driving system. Additionally, the V-Series model comes with a specialized augmented reality head-up display, as well as more V-Series branding throughout the cabin. Cadillac promises a unique “multi-layered” sound both inside and outside the car, enhancing the driving experience with an immersive aural signature.
