BMW has unveiled the new M2 CS, a high-performance evolution of its compact sports coupe. It now produces 526bhp, making it significantly more powerful than its predecessor. The upgraded 3.0-litre turbocharged straight-six engine shares DNA with the BMW M4 GT3 Evo and is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, delivering power exclusively to the rear wheels. The M2 CS accelerates from 0 to 62mph in 3.8 seconds and reaches 124mph in just 11.7 seconds. With the M Driver’s Pack included as standard, the top speed is 188mph. Power increases are thanks to revised engine mapping, and the engine itself features motorsport-inspired upgrades such as a rigid crankcase, forged components, and iron-coated cylinder bores for durability.
