Cedars Rally 2011 – Drivers impressions ahead of the start

Check out what the drivers had to say before the start of the rally in the Cedar start area.

As usual and ahead of every event we stand on the driver’s morning impressions to se how they feel and see how this reflects at the end of the day. We present you with some quotes from the drivers at the Start of the rally in Cedars. We will also present you some impressions after the first loops at the service area at Bnashai Lake.

An overview and driver impressions before the rally.

Roger Feghali: It’s a good start of the day, great weather, and everything in the preparatory stages is going fine, all OK.

Nicolas Amiouni: We made good preparations, this is not an easy rally, we have to stay put and do what we have to.

Christian Kurban: I have a great impression to start the day with, I’m getting more familiar to the process and this I didn’t expect; it’s been a long period since I’m out, even my road car was automatic. I hope we will have good results and I seek no target through this it’s for my own pleasure.  I thank the people that kept pushing me, kept telling me to take their cars, and drive at night each time I stopped driving, Ramy El Akhawy was on the top of my helpers list. I want to thank Logde club and straight line Maroon Daher and Bo Concept. I want to tell you something I won’t state to the TV stations, it’s not my first competition, but before it was different, I used to come with my competitor to the race, in the same car, at the race it was a ruthless battle but when it all ends, we used to get back home, together in the same car. This is motorsport not war, and the competition before was rougher than now by ten times. I ask the competitors to respect the ethics of the game.

Joseph Hindy: unimaginable feeling is what I have; I can’t wait to the start.  I don’t want to have any high expectations. I am seeking self satisfaction. I am trying to get as close as possible to the fast drivers and this is what I will do.

Gilbert Bannout: we will try to play safe the first loop of the rally without getting behind, we want to set the pace exactly like we did in spring rally. The stage of Tanourine is a very nice stage, I know it very well, details will be clearer after ss3.

Sisley: I have a good impression to start the day with, we’re not far from the start line, personally and team wise we are aiming for the best, but after all this is a sport of competition and I wish a safe finish to all the guys. Thanks to Tony Germany Rally Skills we have a great car and we are well prepared.

Ziad Melhem: we are not seeking a podium, we are looking to a clean finish of the rally, we are having some small issues with our car.

Joseph Nasr: We are well prepared and well trained to this; hopefully the car will help us.

Tamer Ghandour: I love this rally so I’m very enthusiastic, we have higher expectations than spring rally, and I wish a safe finish to everyone.

… Stay tuned for more impressions from the day …
