March 16, 2016 – Chevrolet has unveiled the 2017 Camaro ZL1, the most powerful Camaro ever created, ahead of its first public appearance at the New York Auto Show next week.
Powered by a supercharged V8 engine that produces 640 horsepower and 868 Nm of torque, the Camaro can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3.9 seconds and reach a top speed in excess of 296 km/h. A six-speed manual transmission is standard, but there’s an optional new 10-speed automatic with paddle shifters.
The 2017 Camaro ZL1 receives aggressive exterior modifications with sportier front and rear bumpers, new hood, wider front fenders, aggressive side skirts, 20-inch aluminium wheels, and a fixed rear wing. It’s also 90 kilograms lighter than the previous ZL1.
