Sebastian Loeb and Sebastian Ogier will be the team’s official rally drivers for the 2011 season. Drivers will hold the numbers 1 and 2 respectively on their cars.
The other drivers will be Peter van Merksteijn Jr, who will begin his programme on Vodafone Rallye de Portugal at the end of March, ex-Formula One world champion Kimi Raikkonen and 2003 world rally title winner Petter Solberg. Solberg will contest all 13 rounds with Raikkonen and van Merksteijn both tackling 10 events.
According to team director Olivier Quesnel, Citroen’s main objective will be a 7th world crown especially with all new Citroen DS3 WRC.
The new car will have a special feature. The car roof will change colors and designs on every event. The opening round of the season will take place in Sweden. Citroen DS3 WRC will be featuring Sweden’s flag with snowflakes on the roof.
