Dakar Rally 2014, Stage 11: Terranova fastest

Argentina’s Orlando Terranova has gone quickest on the Dakar Rally’s eleventh stage this afternoon; the MINI driver completed the special stage in 5 hours 58 minutes to ascend to fourth place overall, relegating Toyota’s Giniel de Villers to fourth.

The Top 3 positions remain intact, with Nani Roma in the lead, followed by Stephane Peterhansel and tenth stage winner Nasser Al-Attiyah. Roma was the second quickest man today, extending the gap to Peterhansel to 5 minutes; the Frenchman ended up fourth fastest ahead of Al-Attiyah.

KTM rider Marc Coma extended his lead in the motorcycles category after winning today’s special stage; Cyril Despres was the second fastest, the French rider remains down in sixth overall nevertheless. Coma’s closest pursuer is second-placed Joan Barreda Bort who ended the day in fifth place.
