January 14, 2015 – Nasser Al-Attiyah is proving unstoppable in the Dakar 2015 as the Qatari secured his fourth stage win in the tenth special today, beating Orlando Terranova to the finish by 1 minute 35 seconds, therefore extending his lead in the general standings to 28 minutes.
Giniel de Villiers and Yazeed Al-Rajhi, second and third overall respectively, seem not to have what it takes to defeat Nasser Al-Attiyah, who’s tread water since the start of the rally. The Saudi lost 3 minutes 39 seconds to the winner today and the South African conceded 4 minutes 24 seconds.
Joan Barreda dominated today’s special from beginning to end to claim his third stage this year, while main competitor and overall leader Marc Coma produced a solid performance between Calama and Cachi to finish 1 minute 39 seconds behind in second place.
