February 9, 2015 – Red Bull Racing Formula 1 driver Daniel Ricciardo has successfully beaten double world champion Lewis Hamilton for the all-time fastest laptime around Top Gear’s test track.
The Australian driver was the star in a reasonably priced car in Top Gear’s latest episode (Season 22), and as with every Formula 1 driver, he was given a Suzuki Liana to post his laptime. Ricciardo clocked a 1 minute 42.2 seconds, 0.7 seconds faster than Hamilton’s time, and the fastest laptime ever recorded on the show.
