Syrian Driver Fadi Hammadeh has launched his new team today at Regency palace Hotel in Adma. The team will be called Davidoff rally team. Fadi who is a well-known Hill Climb and Speed test driver will be tackling ROL for the second time in his career and this will also be his second rally ever. His team was gathered in the hotel yesterday to speak about the new car, the sponsor and the ambitions for ROL 2011. Fadi will be fully sponsored by Davidoff perfume and will be driving a Renault Clio Maxi R3 prepared by famous French Team Chazzel.
Fadi is looking to secure a top 10 finish in the overall standing and a win in the front wheel drive category. The Syrian driver also talked about participating in the Ramman hill climb on the 23rd of September. His program this year has been scheduled as such due to the cancellation of the Middle East Hill Climb.
The press conference saw the presence of many journalists from all over the country and the car was presented in front of everybody. Hosts started their speech with some presentations and a video for Fadi’s accomplishments. The press conference saw the presence of Mr. Hani Shaaban, president of the Syrian automobile club. ATCL was presented by Mr. Fady Aoun, Mr. Gaby Kreiker, and Mr. Issam Hitti.
2011 Dakar Champion Nasser Al-Attiyah was present in addition to French Rally champion Manu Guigou, who is present to help Fadi with car setup.
The press conference was followed with a dinner in Honor of the guests.
