December 8, 2015 – Two years ago at the Dubai International Motor Show, a Dubai-based company revealed a wild-looking supercar called the Devel Sixteen, and it claimed its car could produce 5000 horsepower and hit a top speed of 560km/h.
Initially, we thought that those figures were fake, and there was no proof that it could deliver so much power. However, a new video released yesterday shows that the 12.3-liter V16 quad-turbo engine – developed by Steve Morris Engines – in the Devel Sixteen is actually capable of producing more than 4500 horsepower, so the company wasn’t bluffing after all.
There are plenty of unanswered questions, nonetheless, the most obvious of which is: how exactly is the Devel Sixteen supposed to achieve 560 km/h without falling apart or without a tyre failure? We’re gonna need more video evidence in the future.
