Disappointing Weekend for Noel Jammal in Magny Cours

Noel Jammal couldn’t capitalize on his record qualifying lap in Magny Cours and finished the weekend with some bad luck.

Another disappointing weekend for Lebanese F3 starlet, Noel Jammal in Magny Cours, after retiring in the first race of the season in Valencia.  Although this doesn’t reflect Noel’s performance at all, he got really unlucky in the last race due to a clutch problem and couldn’t go on to score points.

To sum up the weekend, Noel started well on Friday after coming 3rd in free practice. His performance looked solid and he looked confident going on to qualifying. Qualifying was even more impressive, when he scored the fastest time and set a record on the track. With this result Noel was looking set to go to the race for the win but this was not the case. During race 1, he suffered some aqua planning and went out of the track, lost 13 positions when he was 2nd and finished the race 8th, grabbing some valuable championship points.

Noel headed up to the second race in the weekend on Sunday full of hope to claim a good position but some mechanical problems slowed him down. His car’s clutch stopped working properly and this led him in failing to defend numerous attacks, and later on finish the whole weekend with the best lap and Saturday’s points from 8th position.
