September 14, 2015 – France’s Motorsport Magazine takes three of the best hot hatches currently on sale for a sprint on a drag strip to find out which car is the fastest.
There’s the MINI JCW, which produces 231 horsepower and weighs 1220 kilograms; the less potent but lighter Renault Clio RS Trophy that makes 220 horsepower and tips the scales at 1204 kilograms, and the 207-hp Opel Corsa OPC that weighs 1218 kg.
On paper, the MINI and Renault are close, while the Opel is at a clear disadvantage both in terms of power and weight. But paper is paper, and only a proper race can reveal the better car.
