May 4, 2016 – They might not look like competitors, with the Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG being a hot hatch and the BMW M2 a sports coupe, but the two are actually very close in terms of performance figures.
The AMG benefits from a turbocharged four-cylinder engine that makes 375 horsepower and 475Nm of torque, while the M produces 364 horsepower and 465Nm of torque from a turbocharged six-cylinder unit. However, the Mercedes’ main advantage is all-wheel drive, but the rear-wheel drive BMW is 35 kilograms lighter.
