January 25, 2017 – CAR Magazine recently pitted the BMW M2 against the Porsche 718 Boxster S, which are two German sports cars that are fairly matched in terms of performance.
The Porsche uses a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that produces 345 horsepower and 420 Nm of torque, while the 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder in the BMW pushes out 365 horsepower and 465 Nm of torque. However, the 718 is 150 kilograms lighter than the M2, and in a drag race, that might make a difference.
