SX Team Schubert’s lead didn’t last long after the 12 hours mark as a puncture on the #76 BMW Z4 GT3 damaged some of the car’s rear right suspension components, forcing the team to pit for repairs. More drama followed for the Geman team when the BMW hit another car on track, causing further damage and additional repairs. Team Schubert dropped back to 17th overall.
Ram Racing’s #30 Ferrari, one of the main victory contenders, also had its share of bad luck; the 458 Italia was involved in a collision with a slower Volkswagen Golf, thus dropping many positions following lengthy repairs. It is now 18th overall.
Fach Auto Tech 2’s #4 Porsche 997 GT3 R has been the most consistent of the front-runners; it is leading the race with a 2-lap gap to second-placed Stadler Motorsport’s #20 Porsche 997 GT3 R.
Mercedes occupies positions three and four, with the ALL-INKL.COM #38 SLS AMG GT3 in the former position and the Black Falcon 2 in the latter; Team Abu Dhabi by Black Falcon 1, on the other hand, climbed its way up to the top 10 following its tenth hour drama.
