DUBAI INTERNATIONAL RALLY UPDATE
First special stage on Leg 1 cancelled – Al Qassimi moves to second place
Dubai, UAE, 2nd December 2011: The first special stage on Leg 1 of the Dubai International Rally was cancelled tonight following a meeting of the stewards which confirmed that the finish line for the stage had been incorrectly positioned.
As a result, Rashid Al Ketbi leads the rally by 20.4 seconds from Sheikh Abdullah Al Qassimi, with Hamed Al Wahaibi another 11.5 seconds away in third and Nasser Al Attiyah in fourth place, 46.9 seconds off the lead.
