Essa and Abdullah Al-Dossari have mixed results in Round 5 of Bahrain Karting series

Essa Al-Dossari and his son Abdulla had mixed results in the fifth round of 2018/19 Bahrain Karting Sprint Championship (BKSC). The race was held on Friday, February 8, at the Bahrain International Karting Circuit (BIKC), inside the Bahrain International Circuit(BIC) complex.

Essa continued his winning run in the Masters class and further solidified his class lead as he inches closer to claim the title.

Abdullah, however, was not as lucky as his father in Junior class where he ended the Pre-final in fourth place and was on course to achieve a good result in the Final but was hit by a rival as he ended up in sixth place.

He still sits third in the provisional Junior class overall with the difference between him and his closest rival has narrowed down to just the one point which makes the final two rounds interesting in the championship fight.

Looking at the weekend, Essa says: “I achieved the goal what I had in my mind for the weekend. With the race win, I have managed to extend the gap in overall standings between me and other rivals. I hope to keep this pace until the end of the season and eventually take the title.”

On the other hand, Abdulla says: “With the final race hit, I did not succeed in increasing the points gap. My goal to finish in the Top 3 but an unfortunate hit meant I could only manage sixth. This now doubles my task in the final two races of the championship but I am all for it.

With the completion of the fifth round, all eyes are towards Friday 15 in March for Round 6 in the Bahrain Karting Sprint Championship (BKSC). Abdullah, though, will be in the United Arab Emirates for the fourth round of the X30 IAME Series UAE on Friday, February 15, at Al Forsan Circuit in Abu Dhabi.
