Filming for Fast & Furious 7 has officially ended and the movie’s release date has been moved forward to April 3, Universal Studios has announced.
The seventh installment of the popular Fast & Furious franchise was originally scheduled to come out in the summer of 2014, but the date was pushed back to April 10, 2015 after Paul Walker’s tragic death last November. Walker starred as Brian O’Connor, one of the film’s leading characters.
Producers hired Cody Walker, Paul’s brother, and used computer-generated imagery (CGI) to complete Paul’s unfinished part. Also, the script had to be altered in order to retire Brian O’Conner.
