After their pit stop crap in the Abu Grand Prix last season Ferrari had to find a scapegoat for their failure. Domenicali the team’s manager offered to resign. He didn’t. At the end they blamed it all on Chris Dyer the famous race engineer that made things happen for Ferrari for years.
Dyer was replaced with vice head of engine engineering Pat Fry, a former McLaren engineer. Fry will take 2 roles next year. Fry is known to be a strategy mastermind and previously solved McLaren’s strategy problems in past decade.
Ferrari promised more changes to come and claimed that Dyer will be given a role but is to be defined later.
