6.2-liter naturally-aspirated V12 engine, 740 Horsepower, 690 Nm of torque and from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.1 seconds. Those staggering figures belong to the most powerful and high-performance Ferrari road car ever launched, the F12 Berlinetta.
Revealed to the world for the first time on Ferrari.com, The F12 Berlinetta is the successor to the famous 599 GTB Fiorano.
The car takes on the sleek and aggressive design cues previously seen on its sister cars – the 458 Italia and FF – while preserving aerodynamic characteristics.
The interior features beige and black leather with a touch of carbon fiber on the central console. The dashboard is immediately recognizable as Ferrari’s due to the sophisticated and sporty dials, while the multi-functional and racing-oriented steering wheel fits perfectly within the high-quality cabin.
Thanks to its all-new aluminum spaceframe chassis and bodyshell mixing 12 different kinds of alloys, the car’s structural rigidity has improved by 20%, while the weight has been kept down to just 1525kg compared to its predecessor.
Ferrari managed a weight distribution of 47/54 front to rear despite the front-mounted V12 engine.
A shorter wheelbase and a lower cockpit made the F12 a very compact car with a lower center of gravity that is pushed further back.
The F12 Berlinetta can hit a top speed of 340Km/h; the car lapped Ferrari’s test track in Fiorano in 1 minute 23 seconds, almost 2 seconds faster than the Enzo’s time, making it the fastest production Ferrari ever.
The official launch will take place at the Geneva Motor Show on the 6th of March.
