Unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show 2014 a couple of months ago, the Volkswagen Golf R 400 Concept is the most powerful Golf ever created, and luckily, the German automaker plans to put the hot hatch into production.
The Golf R 400 Concept packs a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine pushing out 400 horsepower and 450 Nm of peak torque. The production version, however, will be even more powerful, according to Volkswagen R&D chief Heinz-Jakob Neusser.
VW’s Golf R 400 Concept was recently spotted while being loaded onto a transporter truck in the Austrian capital Vienna. You can watch the first ever footage of the car in the video below.
