Ford’s compact hatchback, the Focus, has been the best-selling car in the world so far this year with more than half a million deliveries during the first seven months, according to Ford itself.
The American manufacturer sold 522,821 Focus models from January to July, with Europe accounting to 153,400 units; this puts the Focus ahead of Toyota’s Corolla and VW’s Golf in terms of global sales.
Earlier today, a new Focus produced at Ford’s Rayong facility in Thailand marked the brand’s 350 millionth vehicle to roll off the assembly line since its foundation in 1903.
