Formula DRIFT is gearing up for an exciting 2025 season, with the recent announcement of the event schedule and provisional driver lineup. Just after the thrilling 2024 season finale at Irwindale Speedway, the series has already set its sights on next year. However, a major change looms as Irwindale Speedway will close its doors in 2025, marking the end of an era for Formula DRIFT. While a replacement venue in Southern California is still under negotiation, an official announcement is expected soon.
Aside from this shift, the 2025 Formula DRIFT PRO and PROSPEC Championship calendar largely mirrors the previous year’s schedule, with updated track improvements enhancing the competition at familiar locations.
2025 Formula DRIFT PRO & PROSPEC Championship Schedule:
– PRO: Streets of Long Beach, April 4-5
– PRO/PROSPEC: Road Atlanta, May 8-10
– PRO: Orlando Speed World, May 30-31
– PRO/PROSPEC: Englishtown Raceway, June 19-21
– PRO/PROSPEC: World Wide Tech Raceway, July 17-19
– PRO: Evergreen Speedway, August 8-9
– PRO/PROSPEC: Utah Motorsports Campus, August 28-30

Provisional Driver Lineup for 2025:
The 2025 season will see the return of several top drivers, alongside newcomers ready to make an impact. Notably, the top three finishers from the 2024 PROSPEC Finals, including Champion Tommy Lemaire, Connor O’Sullivan, and Austin Matta, will join the PRO Championship.
Irish drift star Jack Shanahan, a multiple national champion, will also make his Formula DRIFT debut. Australian drift champ and YouTuber Luke Fink is another new addition, bringing his skills and online fanbase to the series.
In PROSPEC, the list is expanding with new talent, including 13-year-old Cameren Sorensen, who aims to follow in the footsteps of his accomplished siblings, Amanda and Branden.
