General Motors has made its first recall of the year, which targets a total of 69,000 SUV and pickup trucks found to have faulty park lock cables or steering column lock actuator gear.
The affected models, built from November 7, 2012 through December 18, 2012, include the Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Avalanche, Chevrolet Express, Chevrolet Silverado, Chevrolet Suburban, Chevrolet Tahoe, GMC Savana, GMC Sierra and GMC Yukon.
Vehicles with this condition may shift from Park when the ignition key is removed or is OFF, and may roll away unexpectedly after the driver has left the vehicle, resulting in potential crash and/or injuries.
