Gilbert Bannout to make European Rally Championship debut in Rally Islas Canarias

February 17, 2016 – Lebanese rally driver Gilbert Bannout has announced via his official Facebook page that he will be making his European Rally Championship debut in Spain’s Rally Islas Canarias next month.

Bannout will drive a Citroen DS3 R5 run by the D-Max Racing team alongside highly experienced Belgian co-driver Renaud Jamoul, who won the JWRC and WRC 3 championships last year next to Quentin Gilbert.

The 40th Rally Islas Canarias is scheduled on March 10-12; it will cover a total distance of 607.35 kilometers, with 13 special stages (all asphalt) contributing to 215.20 kilometers of that distance.
