Ginetta GT2 Revealed With 800bhp V8 Power

Ginetta has revealed its new GT2 race car, built to compete in the SRO GT2 Series. Featuring a full carbon fiber body and aggressive aero-focused design, it’s the most powerful model the British marque has ever produced.

At its core is a 6.3-liter supercharged V8 engine with a billet aluminum block, delivering up to 800bhp depending on balance-of-performance regulations. Paired with an Xtrac LMP transaxle gearbox, triple-plate clutch, Ohlins suspension, Alcon brakes, and Pirelli slick tires, the setup is engineered for serious track performance.

Weighing just 1,250kg, the lightweight construction enhances the car’s agility. Side-exit exhausts, wide cambered wheels, and extensive body louvres improve cooling and aerodynamics. Massive vents channel airflow to a large rear wing, maximizing downforce and cornering grip.

This GT2 car continues Ginetta’s legacy in motorsport, which includes developing young talent like Lando Norris and Jamie Chadwick. The brand recently returned to Le Mans in 2025, securing its first-ever win at the 24 Hours in the Pro-Am LMP3 class.

Ginetta’s Junior Series is also seeing record participation, and its U.S. presence is expanding quickly. The new GT2 marks a major step forward for the company’s racing ambitions and global profile.
