Glickenhaus 007s: Street-Legal Le Mans V8 Supercar

If you’ve ever dreamed of driving a Le Mans race car to the grocery store, the new Glickenhaus 007s makes that fantasy real. This road-legal version of the Glickenhaus Hypercar brings track-focused engineering into everyday life with a 1,000bhp 6.2-litre V8 under the hood.

This is no replica. According to founder Jim Glickenhaus, the 007s is a genuine road-going machine built from the DNA of the car that earned pole positions at Monza and Spa, and podium finishes at Sebring and Le Mans. It features racing-grade hardware, including a dry-sump V8, double wishbone and pushrod suspension, and a seven-speed automated manual transmission sending power to the rear wheels.

Yet despite its motorsport credentials, the 007s is surprisingly practical. It has hydraulically operated butterfly doors, a nose-lift system for speed bumps, and a powerful air conditioning setup for comfort in traffic and summer heat. It weighs just 1,550kg and rolls on center-lock forged aluminum wheels, with active aerodynamics inspired by Le Mans regulations.

Switching to track mode is quick and simple. Use the onboard air jacks, install slick tires, adjust the adaptive dampers, lower the ride height, tweak the aero and engine map—and you’re ready to chase lap times. Reverting to road setup only takes minutes.

Glickenhaus calls the 007s a redefinition of the track-day experience. It offers elite performance without sacrificing drivability, bringing extreme motorsport engineering to both the race circuit and the real world—with a stop for milk in between.
