The T.33S, a more hardcore version of the T.33, will feature improved aerodynamics, a faster V-12, and a lighter build, debuting next summer.
Gordon Murray Automotive is expanding its lineup with a more aggressive and performance-focused version of the T.33 supercar. Following the T.50 and T.33, both praised for their V-12 engines and manual transmissions, the upcoming T.33S promises to take the driving experience to new heights.
In a recent interview with Autocar, Murray confirmed that the T.33S will be revealed next summer. This upgraded version of the T.33 will be “tougher and more focused,” featuring enhanced suspension components and improved aerodynamics to boost downforce. The standard T.33 already generates 330 pounds of downforce at 150 mph, but the T.33S will be even more capable.
The T.33S will retain the same carbon-aluminum monocoque chassis as the standard model, which already keeps the car’s weight at a light 2,403 pounds. However, Murray suggests that this version could shed even more weight. The 3.9-liter V-12 engine will carry over, but expect the T.33S to be quicker, with an increased rev limiter that could push past 11,100 rpm.
Unlike the track-focused T.50S Niki Lauda, which is built for aggressive aero and downforce, the T.33S will remain primarily a road car—though with a clear orientation towards track performance. As expected, production will be extremely limited, with only around 25 examples expected to be built, making it even rarer than the T.33. The T.33S will also come with a price tag well over $3 million.
With a debut scheduled for next summer, the T.33S may make its public appearance at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, where the brand has previously showcased its high-performance vehicles.
