Group B short movie officially released

October 15, 2015 – We’ve seen a lot of racing movies in the past, mostly focusing on street racing or several forms of motorsport such as Formula 1, IndyCar and Le Mans, but rallying had always been left out.

Thankfully, National Film and Television School (NFTS) has recently released Group B, a short movie that sheds light on the Golden 1980s era of the World Rally Championship, which is famous for its monstrous Group B cars and lack of crowd control.

The short film revolves around Shane Hunter (Richard Madden) who faces his comeback to Group B competition after a long and troubled absence. Unfortunately, the movie is only 26 minutes long.

Group B has made and will continue to make appearances in several film festivals in Europe and the US this year, and movie producers have promised a digital release in 2016. Enjoy the trailer below.
