Guerlain Chicherit’s world record attempt goes horribly wrong

French rally driver and professional skier Guerlain Chicherit was recently involved in a horrible accident in Tignes, France. Luckily, the 35-year-old emerged unscathed from the incident.

Driving a heavily modified Mini, Guerlain was attempting a new world record for the longest ramp jump in a four-wheeled vehicle. However, instead of landing on all four wheels, his car dove down and flipped several times before settling on its side.

The record (101 meters) was set by X Games RallyCross gold medalist Tanner Foust on May 30, 2011, at the Indianapolis 500. Chicherit was aiming for a jump of 110 meters.
