March 28, 2016 – Preparations for the Peking to Paris Motor Challenge 2016, which is taking place between June 12 and July 17, kicked off last week with Charbel Habib and co-driver Walid Samaha testing the Porsche 356C on Lebanese soil.
The Lebanese crew traveled 1,500 kilometers, going through three governorates, including the North, Beqaa and Mount Lebanon, thus familiarizing themselves well with the Porsche, and fine-tuning the classic sports car before shipping it to China on April 11.
Testing began from ATCL’s headquarters in Kaslik in the presence of Rony Karam, FIVA’s ambassador in the Middle East, in addition to Jean-Paul Audi, member of ATCL’s FIVA commission – both of whom wished the Lebanese crew the best of luck in the 35-day endurance rally.
