Hill Climb Bteghrine 2011 – Preview

After a lot of controversy around the venue of the 3rd Hill Climb, Bteghrine will host a relatively different race this weekend …

ATCL has officially defined Bteghrine as the venue for the 3rd Hill Climb of the season. The event that saw a lot of speculation about its place but the speculation ended after confirming the venue yesterday. The track defines should be a new road between the village of Bteghrine in the Maten region and the village of Zaarour. The road characteristics are very different compared to those that were in the past 2 hill climbs that took place in Falougha and Feir El Qamar. The roads are mainly wide containing high speed corners and long straights. This variation might favor cars with different characteristics. Top speed will be very important on such roads and Prototypes will be tuned accordingly to gain the advantage.

Predicting potential winners in the new Hill Climb this weekend is very difficult, but Abdo Feghali will still has the advantage in any situation due to his preparation and readiness. Abdo who will face another type of track this time around will be looking to make it 3 in a row, but he will surely face big competition from Ziad Feghali his cousin, and Mathieu Reboisson.

In the other Categories Robert Aaraj will be in contention for another category win, and Joe Will be looking to win the group N category similar to what he did in his hometown in Falougha. Joe who missed the last event will be trying to make it 2 wins this season to finish the year 2011 on a high. In the BMW category Michel Feghali will also be looking for a clean sweep especially that the track might suit the characteristic of their car and his fellow BMW rivals.
