Hyundai Insteroid: A Wild, Motorsport-Inspired EV Concept

Hyundai has once again embraced fun and creativity with the introduction of its one-off concept, the “Insteroid.” This wild take on the Hyundai Inster EV is designed to grab attention, sporting a huge rear wing, motorsport-inspired parts, and an eye-catching aesthetic that merges performance and style in a truly unique way.

At first glance, the Insteroid’s giant, two-panel rear wing steals the spotlight. But once your eyes wander, you’ll notice this concept car is much broader than the original Inster. Thanks to a custom wide arch body kit, the vehicle exudes a more aggressive, dynamic look from front to back.

Additional striking features include 21-inch wheels with a three-sphere design, a roof scoop, and a substantial rear diffuser. The front wheel arches also sport additional vents to further enhance the car’s aerodynamic appeal. Inside, the Insteroid showcases a stripped-back interior with scaffolding in place of rear seats, signaling that this concept is more about fun than practicality.

Hyundai promises a quirky, entertaining cabin full of “fun” elements, though whether that includes any surprises like a storage compartment for virtual items remains to be seen. The full public reveal of the Insteroid is set for early next month, and fans are already eager to see how it stacks up against competitors like the 536bhp Renault 5 Turbo 3E.
