Hyundai Ioniq 5 N DK Edition: Drift-Ready with Carbon Aero Upgrades

Hyundai’s Ioniq 5 N DK Edition, designed with Keiichi Tsuchiya, enhances performance with carbon aero parts and upgraded suspension for ultimate drifting fun.

Hyundai has unveiled the Ioniq 5 N DK Edition at the 2025 Tokyo Auto Salon, a special version of the already thrilling Ioniq 5 N, designed for drift enthusiasts. Created in collaboration with legendary Japanese drifter Keiichi Tsuchiya, known as the “Drift King,” this model amplifies the fun factor with performance upgrades that enhance both handling and style.

The Ioniq 5 N DK Edition features a set of 21-inch forged aluminum wheels, which not only widen the stance for improved grip but also reduce weight by nearly 24 pounds. Behind these wheels, six-piston brakes are paired with a 54% larger pad area, offering significantly improved stopping power and durability. Additionally, the car’s lowering springs lower the ride height by 0.6 inches, optimizing the suspension for better cornering stability, all while remaining compatible with the Ioniq 5 N’s advanced electronically controlled suspension.

Visually, the DK Edition stands out with a striking carbon-fiber rear wing, complemented by a carbon diffuser and side skirts. These aerodynamic enhancements deliver an impressive 205 pounds of downforce at 87 mph, improving high-speed stability and handling precision.

Power-wise, the DK Edition maintains the standard Ioniq 5 N’s impressive 641 horsepower (with N Grin Boost engaged), paired with an all-wheel-drive system that allows for adjustable power distribution to the front or rear wheels. Of course, the star feature for drift enthusiasts is the inclusion of a dedicated drift mode, promising to take the Ioniq 5 N DK Edition to the next level of fun on the track.
