Interview Abdo Feghali + Pics and Videos from Speed Test 2

He simply did it again… but after the race he had some valuable things to say…

Ladies and Gentlemen… ABDO FEGHALI!!!

This is your second 2012 Speed Test, and your second cup win, can we say that you struggled a bit on your first run?
It was actually nice, despite hitting one cone. The track was very tight and challenging, different from what we’re used to see.  It was nice to see so many talents in yesterday’s CPD and today’s Speed Test; Michel Zgheib did a wonderful job.

What do you think of Michel? He used to compete in non-ATCL events.
Hopefully he’s now on the right track; he gave us his word and signed with ATCL. He was good in CPD and was even better today, bravo, he can control his car, and he can set a good time. I hope everyone improves, the difference between Heat 1 and Heat 2 is a sign of who’s improving and who’s not, so it is very important for drivers to better their times.

What do you think of the Front-wheel drive category?
Alain Nawfal proved himself in the front-wheel drive category; he did a fantastic job by improving by almost 6 seconds on his second run. I also gave my friend Yussif Bassil a Renault Clio to compete with, I use it for my racing school; I was very happy with his performance. Hopefully we’ll be able to work more on his car for the upcoming Speed Test.
There’s also someone I’m not gonna mention his name; ok his name starts with the letter Imad Diab (giggles). Imad is my friend in addition to being a photographer, he messed up his first run but managed to climb up in Heat 2. I’m proud of his performance.
I just wish that all the organizers and media would live the pressure we do as drivers, because when you experience that amount of pressure you’ll realize what we go through.
Anyway, the championship is looking good, but we’re focused more on CPD this week.

Tell us more about yesterday’s CPD, how was it from your point of view?
I felt very proud, of both the cars and drivers. As you saw yesterday, I qualified 24 drivers instead of the original 17. All of the drivers were great, some of the best I’ve seen in the Middle East; even the cars were brilliant.
The competition will be fierce, so it’s going to be hard for the judges to choose the best three drivers; the winner of these drivers will compete in the CPD Finals which is taking place outside of Lebanon.
