Interview Michel Zgheib 2nd Speed Test 2012

When you see him for the first time you never doubt his skill and talent. Last year he shined in the Red Bull CPD and this year he is participating in the ATCL organized event to mark a big career change. From his first time out he won the RWD category and he remained humble after the win…
Michel, you’re going through a career change at the moment, tell us more (he shifted to ATCL events).
I wanted to see how I compare against more experienced people, but my time was good and the car was good, not bad at all.

What made you move to ATCL?
The competition here is fierce, the people and cars are better. Let’s try our luck.

There’s also the legal consequence to joining ATCL, you can be a genuine champion now.
Definitely, there are lots champions though, and I’m still young.

We saw you win the Rear-wheel drive category. How was the race, the track?
I did, and I also entered the top 10. The race and track were very nice.
The car was brilliant, big thank you to Paul Khawand who worked late hours to get the car ready after the CPD, because as you know, Drifting and Speed Tests are different.
Thank God, everything went smoothly.

What can you tell us about next Saturday’s Car Park Drift?
We have to prepare the car, just like we did for this Speed Test.
I would finally like to thank Champion Motoroil, Hankook, Garage Paul Khawand and a big thank you to Tony Germany, I wouldn’t be here without his help.
