Abdo, how do you feel about winning all of the Speed Tests this season without being crowned as champion?
We’ve discussed this already at the beginning of the season, and all of the drivers were against it. ATCL told us let it go, although the rules could have been altered, but it’s no problem, we got used to the idea.
Now we await next year, I broke my word this season because of the fans who are always waiting for the show, but things will definitely switch back to normal as of next year, and ATCL, as Gaby Kreiker told us, are totally okay with it.
As I said earlier, we kept quiet this year, we took all the needed exposure, we won and we proved that we’re fastest. I’m working hard all year long to win the title though; sixteen or seventeen titles don’t necessarily mean I gave up on winning, so the end of this season will help us prepare for next season.
Dado, you faced a problem on your second run, what happened exactly?
It’s no big deal, I was trying to break my Heat 1 time but the weather got colder and it almost rained.
But you continued after you were done with your runs…
Yeah, after I finished my run I caught a glimpse of someone from ATCL wanting me to do a show run.
Did you really catch a glimpse of someone, or you wanted a show run deep down?
No no, I shredded my tires because of this. I had a feeling that something wasn’t right, good thing I noticed the flag, so I stopped. I didn’t want any problems with anybody; Thank God we finished this season without any issues.
What do you think of the other participants today?
First off, this is the best track, it is fantastic; the asphalt is quite tricky and slippery.
Congratulations to Osmat for winning the championship, he was one of the few people who considered the championship meaningless without me. I congratulate him, Elie Hage as well as others on the great spirit. It was a great championship.
Hopefully we can come up with new rules that will be of benefit to all drivers next year.
