October 16, 2015 – Two unique global icons once again joined forces to celebrate their shared values – freedom and authenticity, passion and uniqueness – in Lebanon as Jeep and Gargour Automotive Company – the only authorized distributor for Jeep in Lebanon, sponsored the annual Harley-Davidson Lebanon Tour that took place from October 2 – 4, 2015, attracting a record participation of over 400 bikers.
The objectives of the event are to promote safe motorcycle riding, create awareness of Lebanon’s rural regions and re-unite and bring together Harley-Davidson owners from around the world. The event was staged in association with the Motorcycle and Tourism Club of Lebanon (MTCL), Harley-Davidson Lebanon and Harley-Davidson Cedar Woods.
“We were delighted to sponsor this great event, one of Harley-Davidson’s most successful anywhere in the world,” said Negib Debs, Chrysler Group General Manager at Gargour Automotive Co. “When two truly global icons like Jeep and Harley-Davidsongettogether, there’s a real sense of excitement and anticipation, and we’re pleased that we could play a part in making this year’s Lebanon Tour so enjoyable for everyone that took part.”
The main destinations along the tour route – Cedarwoods Harley-Davidson Seaside showroom, Intercontinental Mzaar Hotel and Zaytouna Bay, the venue for the closing ceremony – all featured Jeep displays and there was a special competition with two Harley-Davidson owners winning places to take part in the next Jeep Jamboree.
An off-road element to demonstrate Jeep capability was also staged at the Intercontinental Mzaar Hotel as part of the event.
