June 11, 2016 – Lebanese Rally Champion Roger Feghali leads the way at the end of Leg 1 of the 5th Jezzine Rally, the second round of the 2016 Lebanese Rally Championship.
Roger clocked the fastest time in both the first and second special stages onboard the Mitsubishi Evo X and is now 9 seconds ahead of second-placed Rodolphe Asmar in the Ford Fiesta R5.
Abdo Feghali (Ford Fiesta R5) had a minor incident and was forced to retire, while Rodrigue Rahi (Evo IX) shared a similar fate.
Moreover, Roger is the provisional Group N leader, whilst Bassel Abou Hamdan leads in the front-wheel drive and RC3 classes onboard the Citroen DS3 R3, while Patrick Njeim and Matthias Njeim hold first position in the RC4 and RC5 classes respectively.
Tomorrow’s action consists of six special stages, with three in Bqosta and three in Barti.
