He is definitely one of Lebanese Motorsports brilliant talents. His Father was a champion and a legend and Joe seems to be on the way to ultimate success. After his GTC championship win, Joe participated in the Falougha Hill Climb and went on to take the group N win by the slightest margins although his closest competitor Nick Georgiou was on an R4 kit. Some claim that it’s easy for Joe to win in Falougha since it is home town, but in front of such demanding crowd nothing is easy. The second run was enough to clinch the title, and Joe cruised the third run and saluted the crowd. It’s his first drive and first wins for TGRS. WE met Joe after the race and had this small conversation.

How did you find the competition today and how do you evaluate your performance?

Well there was no tough competition in group N but I wanted to beat Nick Georgiou, who has the R4 kit. My first run was OK and I knew I had some over steer in the car, so ahead of the second run we changed some things in the setup and we switched the tyres to score a very fast time in the 2nd run.

How did you find the crowd on the roads?

I don’t concentrate on the crowd but I know they are there. They are there inside our hearts. In the last run I cruised to victory so I got to see the crowd after I made sure that Nick couldn’t beat my time.

How did you find TGRS and the car?

It was my first time with the team. They gave me full support and I would like to thank Tony Germany for all his efforts. We helped each other for the win and although it was my first time in such a car we were able to win. Everything was organized there was no headache at all. Things were clean and clear and the team is very well organized and prepared.

I would like to thank my sponsor Monaco Amusement Center that is opening soon in Kaslik. I would like to also thank Tony Bechara who is the head of Monaco Amusement Center. I would like to thank my father and my family who are always next to me and the municipality in my Hometown village in addition to every single person in Falougha.

Are you going to compete in the remaining Hill Climbs this season?

Well I hope, so but this race proves to everyone that even if I was absent I am ready and I am capable of winning. I can driver anywhere on circuits in rallies with different conditions so I hope sponsors will notice this and start giving me back up. I am trying my chances in Circuit racing now and its going great in Dubai and I am working on finding myself in one type of racing to be able to continue.
