Joe Ghanem winning race 2 - Maserati Trofeo JBF RAK series

Lebanese young starlet Joe Ghanem proved that only bad luck will stop him from winning, as was the case last month in the Red Bull Ras B Ras and this weekend in the Maserati Trofeo JBF RAK series.

The Maserati Trofeo JBF RAK series round 1 took place this weekend in Bahrain’s Sakhir circuit and consisted of 2 races. Joe qualified 2nd for race 1 but was unfortunate to suffer an unlikely puncture that made finish 9th 2 laps down. Although the start of his weekend was tough, Joe bounced back in race 2 and went on to qualify first and dominate the race later on.

His win in the first round of the championship comes after a sequence of amazing results in the Formula Gulf 1000 series that is undergoing in the UAE.

Joe the son of Lebanese rally Legend Samir Ghanem has been pipped out since a very young age to be one of the best drivers in the Middle East and his championship win in the UAE GTC series last year was nearly a little proof of his mastery.

Joe will be back on the 15th and 16th of December to Yas Marina for the 7th and 8th round of the Formula Gulf championship before heading to Bahrain on January 6 for the 2nd round of the Maserati Trofeo JBF RAK series.
