WRC champion Kalle Rovanperä takes on the iconic Mount Iwaki in an exhilarating drift challenge, inspired by the famous manga *Initial D*. In this thrilling adventure, Rovanperä, known for his impressive rally skills, brings his GR Corolla to the mountain roads, joined by a lineup of legendary Japanese cars from the 1990s. Alongside his own drifting prowess, he faces off against drift heroes in vehicles like the Nissan R34 Skyline, Toyota 180SX, and the legendary Ferrari F40.

For Rovanperä, the challenge has deep personal roots, as he’s been a fan of *Initial D* since childhood. The manga, which follows street racers battling up mountain passes, has had a significant influence on him. Now, the two-time World Rally Champion is living out his dream of drifting up a mountain pass, with 69 corners to navigate while drifting past some of Japan’s most iconic cars. 

Alongside Rovanperä’s GR Corolla, the challenge includes drifting against Yoshitatsu Kaneda in an R34 Skyline, Manabu Orido in a GR86, and even a digital version of Takumi Fujiwara in an AE86, adding an extra layer of manga magic. This project, brought to life by Red Bull and *Initial D*, combines high-speed drifting, breathtaking Japanese mountain scenery, and a tribute to the roots of car culture.
