Karl Massaad will represent Lebanon in the British Formula 4 championship

February 2, 2017 – Karl Massaad will represent Lebanon and the Arab world in the British Formula 4 championship as he prepares to take part in the full 2017 season.

Massaad will compete for Double R Racing team, which was co-founded by Formula 1 driver and world champion Kimi Raikkonen and his manager Steve Robertson.

“I look forward to my first season in a single-seater race car and to learning a lot as fast as possible.” said 18-year-old Massaad, who added: “I am very excited for this experience in the British Formula 4 championship, and I aim to finish on the podium with Double R, on circuits that are completely new to me.”

Massaad will partake in extensive winter testing starting February 3, before the season kicks off in Brands Hatch at the beginning of April.

It is worth mentioning that ex-Formula 1 drivers Bruno Senna and Felipe Nasr have raced for Double R Racing in the past, in addition to current Sauber F1 driver Marcus Ericsson.
