Lamborghini’s Lanzador concept previews a 1341-hp electric Ultra GT, combining exotic design, luxury seating for four, and cutting-edge EV performance for 2029.
Lamborghini Lanzador Concept Unveils 1341-HP Electric Ultra GT for 2029
Lamborghini has teased its electric future with the Lanzador concept, a striking blend of supercar aggression and SUV practicality. This high-riding EV will be Lamborghini’s first fully electric vehicle, featuring a unique 2+2 seating layout and boasting an astounding 1341 horsepower. Initially slated for 2028, production has now been pushed to 2029, as confirmed by Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann, who believes the luxury EV market won’t mature before then.
Distinctive Design Meets Power
The Lanzador stands out with its unmistakable Lamborghini DNA, combining design elements from the Huracán Sterrato and Urus SUV. Its bold proportions include muscular fenders, sharp creases, and a low-slung roofline paired with increased ground clearance. With 23-inch wheels and a glass roof, the Lanzador exudes exotic flair while maintaining a versatile, high-riding stance.
Under the hood—or rather beneath its body—Lamborghini equips the Lanzador with dual electric motors, one on each axle, delivering all-wheel drive and over one megawatt of power (1341 hp). The brand claims the EV will balance exceptional performance with competitive driving range, thanks to advanced battery technology. Active aerodynamics further enhance efficiency and provide adjustable downforce, ensuring both speed and cooling optimization.
Interior: Luxury and Innovation
Inside, the Lanzador delivers futuristic minimalism with an emphasis on sustainable materials. The cabin combines sustainably tanned leather, merino wool, and recycled composites like regenerated carbon fiber. It features dual digital displays for the driver and passenger, along with a bold center-console control knob for managing infotainment and drive modes.
Seating four passengers in a 2+2 layout, the Lanzador prioritizes both luxury and practicality. Its rear hatch and foldable rear seats offer unexpected cargo versatility, while a front trunk adds even more storage—an unusual feature for a Lamborghini.
Cutting-Edge Tech and Performance
Lamborghini has integrated advanced systems like rear-axle steering, air suspension, and customizable driving dynamics via the Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata (LDVI). Enhanced by radar-based sensors, these features promise an agile and responsive driving experience, blending power and precision on any terrain.
Ultra GT Vision for 2029
Lamborghini positions the Lanzador as an “Ultra GT,” combining exotic performance with luxury and versatility. While production is still several years away, the Lanzador sets the stage for a revolutionary EV era at Lamborghini. Expected to carry a price tag of at least $300,000, this electrified bull will offer an unmatched driving experience for enthusiasts seeking the future of Italian automotive excellence.
