It is a known fact that Lamborghini’s Gallardo is the most successful model in the Italian company’s history, with more than 11,000 units produced since its inception back in 2003.
But the model has been around for almost a decade, and the time has come for a successor, which is what Lamborghini recently confirmed following a minor facelift for the outgoing model.
The Gallardo’s successor will feature a naturally-aspirated engine mated to a dual-clutch transmission pushing all four wheels; Lamborghini will also offer a rear-wheel drive variant.
Manual transmission will no longer be available on the upcoming model, which is to appear for the first time sometime next year.
