Lebanese Karting championship MINI MAX Review + Interview with Christophe Rizk

Christophe Rizk dominated both races in the Mini Max category last Sunday in the first round of the Lebanese Karting championship after some composed and well-studied driver. The first race was challenging for Christophe where he was followed closely by Christopher Njeim, who is deemed to be a very fast driver, but in the second race Christopher Njeim was a bit unfortunate and his Kart stopped for a while before he managed to get going again. This prompted Rizk to take a comfortable lead, both in the race and in the championship.

Race 2 saw Rashed Ghanem score his best ever finish in a karting race in Lebanon where he scored second place in a big improvement on last year. The podium was completed by Rubens Bouchabke who finished 3rd on his new Chassis.

After the race we had a few words from Christophe:

“The first race was a bit difficult; I had a lot of pressure from Christopher Njeim who was pushing hard. My hands started hurting me from pushing so much. The next race was easier I was more relaxed because of the crash that happened earlier. I pulled a big gap in the second race but I wasn’t pushing 100% to preserve the tyres and the car. I will be pushing hard for the championship win and I think Christopher Njeim will be my toughest opponent.”

Although Christophe Rizk is looking good for the championship win, he will be heading into a tough battle with Christopher Njeim in an expected duel that will last for the last race.
