This season, Mahmoud Tannir will be defending his 2011-2012 UAE Sportsbike championship title with the support of Duseja Moto, the UAE’s only Triumph motorcycle dealer and NGK spark plugs. The team will be running last year’s Triumph 675 that won 12 out of the 14 races.
During the off-season the team has worked on strengthening its technical support from a number of companies who will be providing product support and technical expertise. This support should strengthen the reliability aspect of some of the parts that the team is using. Whilst the competition may be stronger this season, the team will be going all out to retain the championship crown.
“I am very happy to have the full support of Duseja Moto and NGK from the start of the season. I am under no illusions that defending the championship will be easy as there are some very good racers in the same class, however, I feel fitter than last season and have been training hard at the gym and during track days. With the increased support from our technical partners and sponsors, I feel confident that the team and I will be able to fight for the championship. I would also like to welcome NGK Spark Plugs, Mobil 1, Oakley, Gopro, Sport 360, MC Powersport and Gimoto as our new sponsors and, of course, I’m grateful for the continued support from Fitness First and Probikes.” said Mahmoud.
The team will be practicing with a new race livery this Thursday the 8th ahead of the race day on Friday at Dubai Autodrome where you can visit them and watch the races starting November 9th till April 2013; entry is free.
